The wicked bend their bows (Psalm 10). In a Byzantine manuscript of c. AD 860. With their composite bows and thumb draw style shooting probably reflect Byzantine light infantry. (Chludov Psalter, f.18v, Historical Museum, Ms. Add. Gr. 129, Moscow)
