Materials and Techniques: Earthenware underglaze painted in slip and pigment ("buff-ware")
Dimensions. Diameter: 21.2 cm, Height: 7.3 cm
Description: Earthenware bowl with a depiction of a horseman, Eastern Iran (probably Nishapur), 900-1000.
    The vivid horse rider was painted with black slip and coloured washes directly on to the earthenware body.
    Earthenware painted under a transparent glaze.
