Persian Musketeer of Shah Abbas

In semi-European uniform an attendant on Shah ‘Abbas marches beside his master. The gun is also clearly developed from European models. Sir Robert Sherley was credited with having reorganized the Persian infantry and artillery which made the Turks ‘quake of a Sherley fever.’
