Wallpainting of Manuel Laskaris Chatzikes, c.1445, Pantanassa, Mistra, Laconia, Greece Manuel Laskaris Chatzikis died in 1445 and was buried in the Pantanassa monastery at Mistra. The inscription on the fresco identifies him as "servant of the Despot, Constantine." The hat he wears is called a skiadion or kamelaukion.
