Plate with the King Hunting
The flat relief depicts a tsar on horseback who is transfixing a lion with a spear; the second lion is under the horse's legs. Between the lions near the rim is the conventional depction of mountainous terrain.

The crown is similar to one on an Umayyad textile with a Sasanian King, Iran or Central Asia, 7th-8th century. David Collection Museum, Copenhagen.
