Painting (watercolour). Folio 29 from an album showing Turkish costume. Tazegi efendi, a schoolmaster or pupil-teacher. Wearing a red cap (barata) which folds over to give a flap at the back. Holding a book and a pencase (divit). Another pencase tucked in his belt. Orange kaftan tucked in his belt in front.
