Painting (watercolour). Folio 97 from an album showing Turkish costume. Aşçı, cook, carrying the giant ladle (kepçe) which is the emblem of his rank. Wearing a fur-lined blue kaftan with four fasteners or buttons on the chest. Wide belt, wide blue trousers and a large white turban wound round a green cap.
