Harem-i Hümayun Nöbetçisi

Hasırlı Eski (elder on a mat) sits on a mat at the entrance door of the palace. Usually depicted seated in a red robe. This person was a black eunuch and kept watch until morning without sleeping. He is depicted with a sword under his left arm and two daggers on his waist.
