The 33rd Segmen Orta had the name 'Avcus' (huntsmen).

The Aşçıbaşı or chief cook was in charge of preparing the food for the men of the Orta. He was also responsible for imprisoning and guarding the janissaries sentenced to arrest, putting them in irons and binding them in the kitchen.
