A woman complaining to the ruler
A woman complaining to the ruler. Original size: 11.8 cm x 25.8 cm. p. 18 no.2. This illustrates a story about Ghazan Khan. Because Ghazan had officials and military stay in the houses of the general population, an old man told Ghazan a story about a Sultan: near Nishapur, this sultan met a newlywed woman that led a horse to drink. This task had actually been given to her husband by a Turk soldier, who wanted the husband out of the house. The Sultan consequently had separate barracks built for his men. And so did Ghazan.
